Análisis y opinión: Jersey Zero Aqua Vermarc

Con la irrupción de la Gabba de Castelli hubo toda una revolución en el mundo del ciclismo. Estos maillots que solo veíamos en las carreras profesionales esos días de perros de marzo y abril en el norte de Europa llegaron para quedarse también al nivel del aficionado. Hemos probado el Zero Aqua de Vermarc, uno de los precios más ajustados en este tipo de prendas.

Con un tallaje ajustado (talla M para 1,74m y 74kg) este maillot se convierte en una segunda piel. Aerodinámico, y con silicona en la cintura que evita que el maillot se suba hacia arriba. Cuenta con logos reflectantes y bolsillos traseros impermeables y de fácil acceso. La cremallera también es impermeable. Nosotros elegimos el color de Quick Step, aunque también existe en color rojo Lotto y negro.

El maillot ha sido utilizado en días de viento y de lluvia, oscilando desde los 2 grados hasta los 15. Es una prenda que puede ser utilizada de cortavientos que llevar toda la salida en bicicleta gracias a su transpirabilidad, aunque es cierto que los días de mayor frío se hace necesaria una buena camiseta interior térmica. En las jornadas de temperatura más agradable, con una interior de manga corta es suficiente, aunque para gustos colores.

Y ahora a lo que nos interesa, ¿es impermeable? Pues relativamente. Es cierto que protege de la lluvia, y que gracias a su transpirabilidad es la prenda mas cómoda que he utilizado en días de agua. Pero no penséis que os va a salvar del gran tormetón o de una lluvia intensa durante mucho rato. En esos casos mejor quedarse en casa…

Ha sido utilizada durante 3 otoños, inviernos y primaveras en un país como Bélgica, y mi opinión es que es una prenda ideal, aunque perdiese bastante color al principio, y si esta jubilada es por que la cremallera se rompió dejándome tirado en mitad de una ruta, aunque eso es otra historia…
